Initial Pass

Following are factors that generally indicate to Green Home's Product Approval Department that a given product may be green:

1. Reputation: We, or sources we trust, have good things to say about the product or vendor.
2. Obvious properties: The product has every indication that it is green. Manufacturer's claims are often relatively easy to validate for single material products.
3. Openness: The manufacturer is willing to provide Green Home with a full list of product ingredients. Green Home will not carry products where the manufacturer is unwilling to provide a list of ingredients
4. Product-vendor consistency: Nothing in the presentation of the product, packaging, or company seems inconsistent with any of the manufacturer's claims or Green Home's criteria
5. Existing relationship: The manufacturer/vendor is one with whom we've had a successful business relationship with in the past.
